After qualifying as a pharmacist, Jig has worked as a clinical pharmacist in a number of hospitals across London and the South East (University Hospital Lewisham, Kingston, Brighton and Sussex and Mayday Healthcare). Jig joined Professor Arya's laboratory in 2009 to undertake a period of full-time research investigating the pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics of enoxaprin during the antenatal period.

Following completion of his research, Jig has taken up a clinical academic position between the department of haematological medicine, King's College Hospital and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, King's College London. Jig is responsible for leading the King's Anticoagulation Reference Centre within the King's Thrombosis Centre.

A particular research interest of Jig's is the pharmacokinetics of drugs and the application of population pharmacokinetic modelling and simulation in order to address anticoagulation drug dosing uncertainties in clinical practice.
